Departing to Serve

Benediction Most gracious God, who knowest the thoughts of our hearts: we confess before thee our sins many and grievous. Grant us, we humbly beseech thee, thy merciful pardon, that we, hating and condemning our own sins, may wholly depart from them all and may cleave to all that is good; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. Affirmation for the Day Wednesday (Ash Wednesday): Our God responds to those who are contrite and humble before him. Thursday: We must long for God to create within us a new nature and renew within us the presence of his Holy Spirit. Friday: We must be careful not to grieve, quench, or refuse to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Saturday: As those who desire to teach others God’s way, we must take our own need for forgiveness and healing seriously, too.
