Departing to Serve

Benediction Lord Jesus, fill our hearts with confidence and assurance that you love us, and have sent your Spirit to us that we might love others, even as you have loved us. Show us how to keep your commandment, to love not merely in talk but in deeds, and to cling to your Spirit to enable us to be like you in our daily conduct and relationships. You alone can grant us grace to please you. We ask this in your name, amen. Affirmation for the Day Sunday: Jesus’s death forms a pattern for Christian love and sacrifice. Monday: Let us love, not in word or speech, but in truth and action. Tuesday: Assurance of our salvation goes hand in hand with doing what pleases God. Wednesday: In Christ, we have boldness before God. Thursday: God’s commandment is that we should believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ and love one another. Friday: All who obey his commandments abide in God and he abides in them. Saturday: God has given us his Spirit to those who abide in him.
