T he S eason after P entecost

Twelfth Sunday after Pentecost August 15 - 21, 2021 • Proper 15 As Lord of the harvest, Jesus has commissioned his Church during this age to go and make disciples of all nations. During this season after Pentecost, let us obey Christ’s command and share the Gospel to the ends of the earth, gathering in the harvest of souls so ripe for reaping. As Christ’s hands and feet in the world, let us both show and tell of his salvation to a dying and hurting world. This is a season of harvest.

WEEK 38

THIS WEEK’S THEME Christus Victor: Restorer: Jesus Is Lord, Ephesians 1.20-23

Christ sits at the right hand of the Father, reigning as Lord until all his enemies are crushed under his feet. Jesus is Lord of all. As the Church, we acknowledge him as head over all things. One day we will see all his enemies under his feet, and God will be all in all. Every tongue in heaven, and on earth, and under the earth will declare that Jesus is Lord. Until that time, the body of Christ, the Church, fills all creation with the Gospel, “Repent, the Kingdom of God is at hand.”
