Thirteenth Sunday after Pentecost August 22 - 28, 2021 • Proper 16 As Lord of the harvest, Jesus has commissioned his Church during this age to go and make disciples of all nations. During this season after Pentecost, let us obey Christ’s command and share the Gospel to the ends of the earth, gathering in the harvest of souls so ripe for reaping. As Christ’s hands and feet in the world, let us both show and tell of his salvation to a dying and hurting world. This is a season of harvest.

THIS WEEK’S THEME Come, Holy Spirit: Life Giver: Regeneration, Titus 3.5-6

Ten days after Christ’s ascension, God sent his Holy Spirit for his Church at Pentecost. The Holy Spirit brings to every believer a new birth into eternal life. We are reborn into the family of God as members of his household. The Spirit unites us with the people of God, the Church. The regeneration of the Spirit means that we are a new creation in Christ. We have a foretaste of the age to come. Our new birth gives citizenship in a kingdom that will never end.
