Departing to Serve

Benediction Dear Father, make us mindful that through faith in the risen and ascended Christ, you have poured on us the Holy Spirit, the one who has regenerated us and brought adoption to us from God. We are now your very children, and our hearts cry out as little children, “Abba, Father!” You have filled us with your life, and we cling to the hope to become heirs of the inheritance to come. All this you provided by your grace and love. Be glorified by our lives. In Jesus’s name, amen. Affirmation for the Day Sunday: Through the working of the Holy Spirit, we have been adopted into the family of God. Monday: Our hearts cry, “Abba, Father,” for God’s Spirit has made us God’s children through Christ. Tuesday: Because we are children of God, we are also co-heirs with Christ, God’s only Son. Wednesday: The Spirit bears witness with our Spirit that we are the children of God. Thursday: All who are led by the Spirit of God are the very children of God. Friday: Through the Holy Spirit, we are heirs of God and the joint-heirs of Jesus Christ. Saturday: It is our call to suffer with Christ in order that we might be glorified with him.
