T he S eason after P entecost

Fifteenth Sunday after Pentecost September 5 - 11, 2021 • Proper 18 As Lord of the harvest, Jesus has commissioned his Church during this age to go and make disciples of all nations. During this season after Pentecost, let us obey Christ’s command and share the Gospel to the ends of the earth, gathering in the harvest of souls so ripe for reaping. As Christ’s hands and feet in the world, let us both show and tell of his salvation to a dying and hurting world. This is a season of harvest.

THIS WEEK’S THEME Come, Holy Spirit: Helper (Paraclete): Teacher, John 16.7-15

The Holy Spirit teaches us the truth and convicts us concerning sin, righteousness, and judgment. He convicts the world of the sin urging everyone to turn to Christ for forgiveness. He convicts the world concerning righteousness urging all to accept him as Lord. He convicts the world concerning judgment revealing the fate of the evil one and his kingdom. For the Church, the Holy Spirit leads us into truth. He teaches us and helps us to be faithful to Christ our Lord.
