Departing to Serve

Benediction Holy Father, we know that the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against the fruit of your righteousness. We belong to Christ Jesus by faith; show us how to crucify our sin nature, and not be controlled by its passions and desires. Help us to live by the Spirit, and to keep in step with the Spirit. Give us strength to be humble, to not become conceited, to neither provoke nor envy others. Dear God, make us like Christ, and help us to honor him in all our conduct and relationships. Affirmation for the Day Sunday: The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Monday: Those who belong to Christ have crucified their sin nature (with its passions and desires) through our faith in him. Tuesday: If we live by the Spirit, we should then keep in step with the Spirit. Wednesday: If we walk in the Holy Spirit, we will not fulfill the desires of our flesh, i.e., our sin nature. Thursday: If you are led by the Spirit, you are not subject to the demands of the Law. Friday: The works we do when we live by our sin nature are evident to all. Saturday: God reveals his righteousness through us as we depend on the power and leading of the Holy Spirit.
