All Saints Day November 1, 2021

According to God’s holy promise, the saints of Christ will dine at the marriage supper of the Lamb, a feast of love and communion with the risen Lord and Savior himself. The Feast of Christ the King, the last Sunday before Advent, anticipates the day when Christ will reign supreme, and the saints of God will never again leave the presence of their Lord.

THIS WEEK’S THEME The Bride of Christ, Revelation 21.1-6a

At the end of his apocalyptic vision on the isle of Patmos, John saw a new heaven and new earth. He also saw the holy city, the New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And he heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” The one who was seated on the throne in his vision also said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” When Jesus returns, the dwelling place of God will be with humankind; his bride (his people) will dwell with God, be his people, and he will be their God.
