The Feast of Christ the King, the last Sunday before Advent, anticipates the day when Christ will reign supreme, and the saints of God will never again leave the presence of their Lord.

WEEK 51

THIS WEEK’S THEME Your Word Is Truth: Divine Sustenance: The Church’s Final Authority, 2 Timothy 3.16-17

Through his Word, God equips his Church for good work by teaching, reproof, correction, and training in righteousness. The Scriptures are God-breathed. They are imbued with God’s own power and authority. There can be no authority for a doctrine or teaching apart from clear grounding in the Word of God. The Scriptures are also illuminated by the Holy Spirit. Because of his work in us, these ancient texts are enduring, fresh, and rich even today. They are ever the same but ever new.
