Reading Assignment

Your work begins in earnest for the next lesson, so do not procrastinate or seek to cram your work at the last minute. Give yourself enough time to concentrate on the reading so you can glean the concepts we will consider next week. Furthermore, stay up on your memorization work, and review carefully the materials from this week in preparation for your upcoming quiz. Again, your quiz next session will concentrate upon the actual video content and outline covered in this lesson . So, make certain that you spend time covering your notes, especially focusing on the main ideas of the lesson. Please read the assigned reading, and summarize each reading with no more than a paragraph or two for each. Keep your summary concise and simple; please give your best understanding of what you think was the main point in each of the readings. Do not be overly concerned about giving detail, but rather write out what you consider to be the main point discussed in that section of the book. Please bring these summaries to class next week. (Please see the “Reading Completion Sheet” at the end of this lesson.) In this lesson we talked about God’s eternal plan to call a people out of the earth for himself who will live forever with him in the New Jerusalem. In the next lesson, we will talk about the grace of God that enables sinners to become part of his chosen people and how that grace causes us to respond with worship and praise. The next lesson is, in fact, entitled “The Church at Worship” and reminds us that one of the most important reasons the Church exists is to give God the glory he deserves!
