3. The Servant Songs of Isaiah are predictions about the coming and ministry of Jesus of Nazareth.
a. Jesus associated directly with the Suffering Servant of Isaiah, the one through whom Yahweh would save his people, Matt. 8.17 (cf. Isa. 53.7–8).
b. Jesus is the Suffering Servant of Yahweh, the One Chosen to redeem the world on behalf of the holy God Yahweh.

C. Jesus is also the Messiah, the One elected by God himself to die for the sins of all humankind, appointed to rise from the dead, and elected eventually to reign over the entire creation.
