Think Again!

Chapter 5: Pillaging Schemes #7-12 • 59

destructive habits and strongholds. The accuser’s arithmetic is based on subtraction, but you can resist his pillaging schemes to steal, kill, and destroy. So your job is to believe truth, and disbelieve lies . Having lost you forever, the enemy now turns all his energy to distraction, to trick you into throwing away the treasures you received from God. He pivots from keeping you blinded to keeping you discouraged and dismayed. He put down his old weapons and picked up new ones. He acts as an infesting rodent and a devious con artist, designing a personalized plan of attack. He wants you give up your treasures voluntarily through various schemes, especially the subtle scheme of preservation. On the other hand, Jesus offers abundant life! He wants to bless you personally, but also to the point of overflowing for the benefit of others. God’s work is rooted in multiplication, so he wants a return on his investment in you. Between Satan’s pillaging and God’s provision is your participation . God uses you to carry on his work of sabotage, where the playing field is your mind. You have the privilege of being God’s agent of victory over the devil. You are not left helpless in this battle. Even though the adversary is constantly deceiving you, thanks be to God, you can learn to discern between truth and falsehood. You don’t have to be victimized by the deceiver any more than I needed to believe there was a snake in the bed. You can face the problems of life by the flesh (which won’t work), or you can conquer life’s difficulties by employing God’s weapons that have divine power.

You can learn to Think Again .
