Isa. 55.10-11 – For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, [11] so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it. c. Isa. 58.11 – And the Lord will guide you continually and satisfy your desire in scorched places and make your bones strong; and you shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.

C. The application of the principle to our personal discipline and testimony
1. The principle of the certainty of the harvest is a generic moral principle of the universe , applying to the Christian as well as the non-Christian. 2. We can summarize this principle simply: Sow a thought , reap a habit ; sow a habit , reap a character , sow a character , reap a lifestyle ; sow a lifestyle , reap a destiny ; sow a destiny , reap a legacy . 3. All our actions have consequences, and unless there is intervention, they will inevitably follow a path that we ourselves have determined.
