The Laws of Sowing and Reaping, continued
2. Prov. 11.24 – One gives freely, yet grows all the richer; another withholds what he should give, and only suffers want.
3. Prov. 19.17 – Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deed.
4. Prov. 22.9 – Whoever has a bountiful eye will be blessed, for he shares his bread with the poor.
5. Eccles. 11.6 – In the morning sow your seed, and at evening withhold not your hand, for you do not know which will prosper, this or that, or whether both alike will be good. 6. Luke 6.38 – Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you. 7. 2 Cor. 9.10 – He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness.
B. The exegetical interpretation
1. God has so structured the moral world that you will always reap in proportion to what you sow.
2. For instance, if you only give a little bit of investment to your marriage, you will only get a little bit of return, however, if you give focused time and effort to your family, it will reap large return.
3. The size of the harvest is proportional to the investment made.
4. This is the fundamental principle of all finance in the modern world.
