VI. Law Six: You Will Always Reap More Than You Sow.

A. The biblical support

1. Hos. 8.7a – For they sow the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind.

2. Job 4.8 – As I have seen, those who plow iniquity and sow trouble reap the same.

3. Prov. 22.8 – Whoever sows injustice will reap calamity, and the rod of his fury will fail.

4. Hos. 10.13 – You have plowed iniquity; you have reaped injustice; you have eaten the fruit of lies. Because you have trusted in your own way and in the multitude of your warriors . . .

5. Prov. 11.18 – The wicked earns deceptive wages, but one who sows righteousness gets a sure reward.

6. Ps. 126.5-6 – Those who sow in tears shall reap with shouts of joy! [6] He who goes out weeping, bearing the seed for sowing, shall come home with shouts of joy, bringing his sheaves with him. 7. Hos. 10.12 – Sow for yourselves righteousness; reap steadfast love; break up your fallow ground, for it is the time to seek the Lord, that he may come and rain righteousness upon you.

8. James 3.18 – And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

B. The exegetical interpretation

1. God has so structured the moral world that you will always reap more than what you sow, Luke 6.38 – Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap.
