4. Refuse to define authentic spirituality in the Barna-esque fashion: i.e., the church is no longer necessary for “Revolutionary” faith.

C. Stimulate fresh expressions of the Church Year celebration in small groups of disciples, those using their gifts to enrich one another’s walk in Christ.

1. Obey the explicit “one anothers” commands in viable small (or cell) group connection for every member of the assembly.

2. Encourage the small group as the prototype, womb, and instrument of Christian celebration and discipleship .

a. Observe the seasons of the Church Year together.

b. Make use of the Revised Common Lectionary.

c. Create your own special celebrations and observances.

d. Develop your specific aesthetic together.

3. Plan regular shared spiritual formation and enrichment projects and events together (i.e., days of prayer, spiritual retreat, Scripture memorization, days of fasting, special days of celebration, the discipline of silence, etc.).

D. Challenge: Shift Your Understanding and Practice of Authentic Spirituality from Individual Pursuit of God Alone to Both Personal and Shared Spirituality in the body of Christ.
