b. Ps. 22.26 – The afflicted shall eat and be satisfied; those who seek him shall praise the Lord! May your hearts live forever! c. Ps. 27.4 – One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple.
d. Ps. 27.8 – You have said, “Seek my face.” My heart says to you, “Your face, Lord, do I seek.”
e. Ps. 34.10 – The young lions suffer want and hunger; but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.
3. As expression of our devotion to Christ, Phil. 3.7-8 – But whatever gain I had, I counted as loss for the sake of Christ. [8] Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ.
B. For our universal priesthood
1. Our corporate filling of the Spirit, Eph. 5.18-20 – And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit, [19] addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with all your heart, [20] giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. 2. Our mutual joy and admonishment, Col. 3.16 – Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.
3. We should offer the sacrifice of praise to God through Christ continually, Heb. 13.15 – Through him then let us
