3. Jesus of Nazareth, risen and exalted, has ascended to the right hand of God, and now deserves our worship and submission as Lord, our clear witness as risen Savior, and our patience as the coming King, Eph. 1.15-23; Phil. 2.9-10; Acts 5.29-32; 1.9-10.

Acts 5.29-32 But Peter and the apostles answered, “We must obey God rather than men. [30] The God of our fathers raised Jesus, whom you killed by hanging him on a tree. [31] God exalted him at his right hand as Leader and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins. [32] And we are witnesses to these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.”
What kind of ongoing impact ought the death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus have on your life and ministry?
A. Connection to your life and spiritual development
Phil. 2.9-10 – Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, [10] so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth [11] and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
1. Study until you have mastered the truth regarding his death, resurrection, and ascension, Luke 1.1-4.
2. Give him glory for who he is and what he has done, Phil. 2.5-11.
3. Recognize the pattern and model of humiliation and exaltation exemplified in the life and ministry of Jesus, Heb. 12.1-2; 1 John 3.1-2; Rom. 8.29.
4. Claim his victory as your own, 1 John 4.4; 1 Cor. 15.57-58.
