anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice.

b. Do not stand up against your neighbor, Lev. 19.16 – You shall not go around as a slanderer among your people, and you shall not stand up against the life of your neighbor: I am the Lord.

c. Spiteful tongues will be destroyed, Ps. 101.5 – Whoever slanders his neighbor secretly I will destroy. Whoever has a haughty look and an arrogant heart I will not endure.

d. Lying and slander reveals fools, Prov. 10.18 – The one who conceals hatred has lying lips, and whoever utters slander is a fool.

e. We are not to be evil speakers against our brothers, James 4.11 – Do not speak evil against one another, brothers. The one who speaks against a brother or judges his brother, speaks evil against the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge.

f. All forms of slander and deceit are to be eliminated from our midst, 1 Pet. 2.1 – So put away all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander.

8. We ought to devise personal and corporate projects of love and care to meet the tangible needs of others.

a. We are to be ready for good works (i.e., disasters, emergencies, calamities), Titus 3.1 Remind them to be submissive to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work.
