b. Rom. 12.12 – Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.
c. Eph. 6.18 – . . . praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints
d. Col. 4.2 – Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.
8. Be open to the varied experiences of the traditions and forms in worship : alone, small groups, large convocations, in retreats.
9. Deliberately recount the blessings of God in the presence of his people together: cultivate the attitude of gratitude in all aspects of your life.
a. 1 Thess. 5.18 – Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
b. Eph. 5.20 – Giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
c. Phil. 4.6 – Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanks giving let your requests be made known to God.
d. Col. 3.17 – And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
