b. We are being saved from the rebellion of the world system, the bondage of our sin nature, and the oppression of the devil, 1 John 2.15-17; 5.4; Gal. 5.16-24.
c. We will soon be saved from the very presence of sin when Christ returns in glory, 1 Cor. 15.51-58; 1 Thess. 4.13-17.
4. We are called to life as sojourners and pilgrims here, representatives of the Kingdom of God, reflecting in our lives and relationships the love and life of the reign of God.
a. We belong to God in Christ, and are not of this world, 1 Cor. 3.23; 6.19-20; 1 Cor. 15.23; Gal. 5.24.
b. We are called to be ambassadors of the Kingdom of Christ, 2 Cor. 5.20.
c. We are living epistles revealing the life of the Age to come in the here and now, 2 Cor. 3.1-3.
5. We have been given all things pertaining to the life of godliness in the Spirit of God, and are thus called to discipline ourselves for the purpose of godliness using God’s endowments as he provides.

b. We have the gifts of Christ, Eph. 4.7-12.
c. We have the cause of the Gospel, Phil. 1.27.
