Come Away A Suggested Retreat Model

In preparation for your retreat, select a theme for your time together and then select Scripture, readings, worship to highlight the theme for your time together. Provide bound paper (or journals) for each retreat participant.

Arrival Welcome and Prayer of Invocation

Worship Prepare your hearts together with songs related to the theme.

Scripture Readings Three to five select passages related to the theme for this retreat

Silence Thirty minutes of silent listening to the Lord

Readings for Reflection Related to the theme of this retreat, find readings that will encourage, challenge, strengthen, and inspire your participants.

Reflection Spend time together reflecting on the Scripture and readings that were just read.

Prayer Close the time of reflection with prayer together.

Journal Writing Take note of what the Spirit is saying to you in your reflection and reading.
