¶ Group 1: Blessed be the LORD, our rock, who trains our hands for war, and our fingers for battle; he is our steadfast love and our fortress, our stronghold and our deliverer, our shield and he in whom we take refuge, the very one who subdues peoples under us. ¶ Group 2: We are one in the Spirit, and one in the Lord, a band of brothers, born of the Spirit and the Word, a united troop of holy warriors, God’s champions. We are called out of the world to please him who made us his soldiers in this war of the worlds. ¶ Group 1: God’s Holy Spirit equips us with heavenly armor for the battle, and stirs up our hearts with a zeal to fight with discipline and a mind to suffer. We strive with longsuffering courage, and wage spiritual war with deep conviction and reckless abandon.
