3. We are ambassadors of Jesus Christ, 2 Cor. 5.18-21.

a. Everyone is to be ready to give anyone who asks a reason of the hope that is in us, 1 Pet. 3.15.

b. All of us are to be equipped to share Christ in our circle of friends, family, and associates, ministering God’s grace to others, 1 Pet. 4.10-11.

B. As members of God’s army, God calls us to engage in spiritual warfare with our arch enemy, the devil.

1. We are engaged in spiritual warfare against spiritual forces which seek to thwart God’s Kingdom purpose in the world, Eph. 6.12-13.

2. We are called to expose and refute the lies and deceptions of the enemy.

a. The devil’s intent is to thwart God’s working in the world through the destruction and damage inflicted upon God’s creation, especially human beings, John 10.10.

(1) Blinds the minds of those who do not believe, 2 Cor. 4.3-4

(2) Oppresses those who are his victims and minions through the godless world system under his control, cf. Matt. 4.1-11 (3) Persecutes God’s people through accusation, opposition, and interference, cf. Rev. 12.10
