2. Cleansed by the life-giving Word, the new believer is indwelt by the Holy Spirit and given a new nature which is “renewed in knowledge after the image of its Creator.”

3. Having been born into God’s family, new believers become members of the household of God and have a desire to grow and be with other believers, Gal. 3.26-28.

4. Those who have been authentically converted will not ignore the importance of fellowship, but will identify and associate with the people of God as their own new people , Heb. 10.24-25.

5. Those who reject association with the body of Christ prove themselves to be either worldly minded, or even not to belong to God at all, 1 John 2.19.

B. Those who have experienced the Word that converts will display more and more the character of Jesus in their lives.
