Conclusion

» The Word that Converts is a living dynamic Word that produces signs of new life, both inward and outward in the life of the truly believing Christian. » This living Word produces abundant evidence within the heart of the Christian that they belong to God including the sure knowledge of God as one’s Father, a new experience of prayer to God, an openness and hunger for the Word of God as nourishment, and a willingness to follow the inner leading of Jesus’ voice as one’s Shepherd. » It also produces corresponding outward signs of the Word’s converting power. Among other things, it produces a public association and identification with the people of God, the display of new desires, values and lifestyles through a new Christlike character, a love for other believers, and a growing desire to see the lost won to Jesus Christ. The following questions were designed to help you review the material in the second video segment. The ability and power of the Word of God to produce in the believer genuine fruit is our hope and strength in ministry. We go forth in sharing God’s Word because of the complete confidence we have in Scripture’s ability to transform the life of the ones who embrace and believe it. Be clear and concise in your answers, and where possible, support with Scripture! 1. In what way does the Word of God change the relationship of the new believer with the Father? What kind of assurance will the new believer have about his/her new relationship with God through faith in Christ and the indwelling of the Spirit?
