Conclusion
» The PWR process is an acrostic which stands for a disciplined and flexible approach to urban ministry management, Prepare, Work, and Review . » As a God of purpose and wisdom, the Lord desires for us to seek his wisdom in ministry as we strive to minister mercy and justice in Jesus’ name. » As we prepare our members, mobilize and release them to work, and evaluate our results, we will gain insight into what directions and deeds God the Spirit would have us take to touch the lives of our neighbors and friends in our neighborhoods.
» If we are faithful, God will be glorified and fruit will be borne.
The following questions were designed to help you review the material in the second video segment. This past teaching segment addresses one of the most important concepts in urban ministry management, the idea of stewarding God’s precious resources for the sake of advancing the Kingdom. As covered above, we must seek out a philosophy of ministry management that will take full advantage of the opportunities that the Holy Spirit provides us to demonstrate his love and justice in the city. We advocate a disciplined, flexible approach which we have called the Prepare, Work, and Review approach, or PWR. All solid ministry management is founded upon a theology of God’s purpose and wisdom, a theology that can face and refute the major objections raised about planning and valid spiritual ministry. A careful review of this material will go a long way in addressing any problems you may have with the role of planning and administration in Spirit-led ministry. The following questions are designed to help you both review the facts and explore the ramifications of these principles for your life and ministry. 1. What is the meaning of the acrostic PWR, and why is it important to find a disciplined, simple, and flexible approach to manage our efforts as we seek to evangelize and do good works of justice and love mercy in urban neighborhoods? Explain your answer. 2. In what ways does the biblical teaching concerning God’s purpose and wisdom help us understand the foundation of all organized and administrated efforts in spiritual ministry?
