If the first segment outlines the problem that evangelism presupposes, this second segment concentrates upon the solution that salvation provides, which in fact remedies the problem. Right from the beginning you see that salvation is defined in terms of deliverance from the power of the devil and the effects of the Curse, and therefore, evangelism, as the proclamation and demonstration of this deliverance, is at its very heart spiritual warfare . Every time a person receives the Lord, violence is taking place in the spiritual realm. Luke 11.17-23 - But he, knowing their thoughts, said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself is laid waste, and a divided household falls. [18] And if Satan also is divided against himself, how will his kingdom stand? For you say that I cast out demons by Beelzebul. [19] And if I cast out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore they will be your judges. [20] But if it is by the finger of God that I cast out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you. [21] When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own palace, his goods are safe; [22] but when one stronger than he attacks him and overcomes him, he takes away his armor in which he trusted and divides his spoil. [23] Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.” Listed in this section are the fundamental truths (i.e., the objectives) written in sentence form which the students should have received from this lesson, that is, from the videos and your guided discussion with them. Make sure that these concepts are clearly defined and carefully considered, for their quiz work and exams will be taken directly from these items. It is imperative that you make sure that the students grasp both the fact of the concepts as well as some of their most significant consequents. In other words, this summary represents the core of what you want the students to grasp out of the lesson, and the substance of the ideas with which they will be tested. Note this text in Luke:
