Ignorant and Unlearned

Without a doubt, the finest evangelist in our church is a person who can barely read and yet loves the Lord. Everyone knows that this sister has the gift of evangelism; she can share from virtually any text of the Bible, turn it to an evangelistic message, and make an appeal to others that leads them to repent and believe in Christ. A fine Christian, a wonderful mother, with a strong burden for ministry, she has been talking to the pastor about the possibility of taking on some role at the church in equipping others to share their faith. The pastor is excited about the possibility, but knows that other members will be concerned that she is neither academically skilled nor trained, although she is the most gifted evangelist he has ever seen. What advice would you have for the pastor if he asked you if he should pursue this sister as a member of his staff to equip others for evangelistic outreach?
