Conclusion
» The significance of the oikos concept for evangelism and discipleship is plain in the apostles’ outreach in the NT, and we ought to pay careful attention to the oikia (plural of oikos ) making up our neighborhoods. » An oikos is that web of common kinship relationships, friendships, and associations that make up a person’s larger social circle. » As we target and equip people to share the Good News within an oikos , we can trust God to move within these households, and hopefully, by the power of his Spirit, we can also see the Gospel spread quickly along the lines of kinship, friendship, and association.
