II. God the Father Almighty Is the Source of All.

A. He has life in and of himself, Exod. 3.14.

1. The Father is self-existent (i.e., his providence is rooted in his own nature, not dependent on anything external to himself), John 5.26.

2. He needs nothing from anyone, Acts 17.25.

3. He is immortal (containing never-ending life within himself).
