III. God the Father Almighty Is the Sustainer of All Things.

A. He sustains all created things and beings.

1. God fills all creatures and beings with good things, Ps. 104.24-30.

2. God’s providential mercies sustain and touch all the things he has made.

a. All the universe feels God’s providential care, Ps. 145.9.

b. Every living thing owes its life to God, Ps. 145.15-16.

c. Jesus taught God’s providential provision for all things, Luke 12.24-28.

3. God is even good to those who neither know him nor love him, Luke 6.35.

B. God does his act of sustaining through the mediation of Jesus Christ.
