The providence of God has multiple kinds of implications for every phase of our lives and ministries. This is your opportunity again in the lesson to zero in on a particular point or issue that the Holy Spirit may want you to delve into for your own ministry. Of all the issues covered above, what is the one thing that the Holy Spirit impresses upon your heart and mind for your own life and ministry? What particular truth concerning God’s providence, preservation, and/or governance resonates deepest with your own burdens and needs today. Reviewing this material is critical for your own in-depth application of the truth. Take the time to seek the Lord and isolate the issue or truths that seem to stay on your mind regarding the nature of God’s providential working in the world. While we know that we cannot possibly understand all the many intricacies of the providence of God, we do know that our own hearts are filled and encouraged as we reflect upon the sovereignty of God for our lives. All of Scripture makes plain that God the Father Almighty is the Maker of the heavens and the earth and therefore the entire universe belongs to him, and he is working all things together for the good of those who are called according to his purpose (Rom. 8.28). Without a doubt, you have issues and concerns that need to be brought before the Lord, the God of providence and governance, the God who preserves and directs. Take some time to lift up your heart desires to the Lord, on behalf of your own life, your loved ones, and those whom you serve in ministry. Remember that your instructor is available to intercede with and for you in these and other matters related to your life and ministry.
