the Creed affirms that he will come to judge the nations, for all judgment has been given to the Son by the Father. Finally, the Creed confesses that he will reign and his Kingdom will have no end, fulfilling the prophesies of the OT, establishing God’s rule in a new heavens and earth. These three affirmations (i.e., his coming in glory, his judgment of the nations, and his eternal Kingdom) carry significant meaning for our lives and ministries today. If you are interested in pursuing some of the ideas of Jesus, the Messiah and Lord of All: He Rose and Will Return , you might want to give these books a try: Craig, William Lane. The Son Risen: The Historical Evidence for the Resurrection of Jesus . Chicago: Moody Press, 1981. Ladd, George Eldon. I Believe in the Resurrection of Jesus . Grand Rapids: Eerdmans, 1975. You have now reached a point in your studies where you will be called upon to apply the insights of your module investigation in a practicum that you and your mentor agree to. You are responsible to make real in your life and ministry the ramifications of the exaltation of Christ, the testimony regarding his resurrection and ascension, and the certainty of the hope of his return. Begin to consider all the numberless ways that this teaching can influence your devotional life, your prayers, your response to your church, your attitude at work, and on and on and on. What is important now in your studies is to apply one of these implications to an actual issue and area in your life, work, and ministry. The ministry project is designed to help you practice the Word you have learned, and in the next days you will have the opportunity to share these insights in real-life, ministry environments. Pray that God will give you insight into his ways as you share your insights in your projects. ------. The Last Things . Grand Rapids: Eerdmans, 1978. Wenham, John.
