Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, [6] who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, [7] but made himself nothing, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, [8] he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. ~ Philippians 2.5-8

Conclusion and Review of the Major Concepts of Chapters 10-12

• Jesus of Nazareth is the Good Shepherd, the One who lays down his life for the sheep , the only One who can ensure the safety, protection, nurture, and care of his flock. • As the living presence of the Kingdom in the here-and-now, the Lord Jesus Christ is also the Resurrection and the Life , the source of all life and abundance for all those who approach the Father through him. • As the Son of Man is lifted up from the earth , Jesus came into the world in order to lay down his life in obedience to the Father’s commandment, in order that he might liberate each one who comes to the Father through belief in him.
