a. Matt. 11.29 – Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
b. Rom. 15.5 – May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus.
c. Eph. 5.2 – And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
d. 1 Pet. 2.21 – For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps.
e. 1 John 2.6 – whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked.
6. The nature of servanthood: A servant is not greater than the one who sent him , 13.16.
a. Matt. 10.24 – A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his master.
b. Luke 6.40 – A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone when he is fully trained will be like his teacher.
7. Knowledge alone is insufficient: If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them , 13.17.
