Gospel of John 09.vp
Session 7: Giver of the Spirit, High Priest of Heaven, the Shorn and Si lent Lamb 189

(1) Phil. 2.6-8 – who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, [7] but made himself nothing, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, [8] he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death , even death on a cross. (2) Isa. 50.5-6 – The Lord God has opened my ear, and I was not rebellious; I turned not backward. [6] I gave my back to those who strike, and my cheeks to those who pull out the beard; I hid not my face from disgrace and spitting. (3) Matt. 26.39 – And going a little farther he fell on his face and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will.” (4) John 4.34 – Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of him who sent me and to accomplish his work.” (5) Heb. 5.8-9 – Although he was a son, he learned obedience through what he suffered. [9] And being made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey him
