1. After breakfast: a really dramatically tense moment , 21.15a

2. Jesus’ question: Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these? , 21.15.

3. Simon’s reply: Yes, Lord, you know that I love you , 15b.

4. Jesus’ word to Simon: Feed my lambs , 21.15c.

5. A second time: the same question and the same answer – Tend my sheep , 21.16.

6. A third time: the same question but a different reply: Lord you know everything; you know that I love you, 21.17.

7. Jesus’ word to Simon again: Feed my sheep , 21.17.

8. A prophetic word from the Risen Lord to Simon: Truly, truly, I say to you, when you were young, you used to dress yourself and walk wherever you wanted, but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will dress you and carry you where you do not want to go, 21.18.
