Doxology (and/or closing song) Praise God fromwhom all blessings flow; Praise Him all creatures here below; Praise Him above ye heavenly host; Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Amen. D eparting to S erve Benediction

Almighty God, Who, of Thy great love to man, didst give Thy dearly beloved Son to die for us upon the cross as at this time, grant us grace ever to bear inmind His most precious sufferings and death, and to deny ourselves and to take up our cross and followHim. May we die unto sin, and crucify the flesh in our Redeemer and a thankful remembrance of His death. Help us to love Him better for His exceeding love to us, and grant that our sins may be put away, and nailed to the cross, and buried inHis grave, that theymay be remembered nomore against us; through the same, Thy Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. ~ BishopWalsham How, 1823. In Selina Fitzherbert Fox. A Chain of Prayer Across the Ages: Forty Centuries of Prayer from 2000 B.C.-A.D. 1916 . NewYork, NY: E.P. Dutton, 1943. p. 225. Affirmation for the Day Holy Saturday: Jesus’s dead body was laid in a tomb as sign of the ultimate price of our salvation.
