Weekly Reflection on It IsWell with My Soul Man and woman are the only life forms who can enjoy the privilege of worshipping one in whose image they are made. Though the angels in heaven worship God, and even the stars were made for it, we alone were crafted with a desire for Him. He has placed an inner yearning in your heart andmine, what some have referred to as a “God-sized hole.” It is this desire for God that sets us apart fromall living creatures. Leonard Sweet, of Spirit Venture Ministries, defines this desire as a “Quest” for a GodLife relationship: “Part of the uniqueness of humanity, beings created in the image of God, is our instinct to seek and to enjoy the pleasures of seeking. It is born in us to dare, to desire, and to delight in the Quest. Questing-made-possible is who we are. Some say it’s our sole advantage as a species. But the Quest is not a set of questions. The Quest is the mystery of getting lost in the GodLife relationship.”
