a. Be established and rooted in Christ, Col. 2.6-7.

b. Take his yoke on you, and learn from him, Matt. 11.28-30.

c. Focus on Christ in all your striving and spiritual longing, 2 Cor. 3.17-18.

2. Concentrate your personal and church devotion on growing in the grace and the knowledge of our Lord Jesus.

a. 2 Pet. 3.18 – But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.

b. John 17.3 – And this is eternal life, that they know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.

c. Phil. 3.8 – Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ.

3. Live out the Christ life in the community of the King through its worship and service in the assembly of believers that others may know him.
