A. Mature disciples express a zeal to represent Christ and his Kingdom.
1. They are zealous for God’s glory, Isa. 62.1; Phil. 3.12-14.
2. They see themselves as ambassadors for Christ, Ezek. 22.30-31; Luke 10.16.
3. They have totally surrendered themselves to Christ, Rom. 12.1-2; Matt. 16.24-25.
4. They identify fully with Jesus, John 12.24-26; Matt. 10.32-33.
5. They live for Christ and his Kingdom, Matt. 10.37-39; John 15.18-20.
B. Mature disciples have obeyed an authentic call from Christ.
1. They have responded to the call to salvation, Rom. 10.11-13; Isa. 55.5-7.
2. They are fleshing out the call to holiness, 1 Pet. 1.14-19; Heb. 12.14.
3. They embrace joyfully Christ’s call to freedom, Gal. 5.13-14; 1 Pet. 2.16.
4. They accept the call to suffering, James 1.2-4; 1 Pet. 4.12-13.
5. They live out the call to service, Matt. 20.26-28; Gal. 6.2.
