G. Element 7: What We Believe

1. The Triune God of the Scriptures is the only God, 2 Cor. 13.14; John 14.26.

2. God is our Maker, Acts. 14.15; Ps. 95.6-7.

3. Jesus Christ is our Savior, 1 Tim. 2.5-6; Titus 2.11-14.

4. The Holy Spirit is our Comforter, John 16.7-11; John 14.15-18.

5. The one, true Church is now our Mother, 1 Tim. 3.14-16; Gal. 4.26-28.

H. Element 8: Walking in the Spirit

1. We have been sealed by the Spirit as God’s own, Eph. 1.13; John 7.37-39.

2. We are to be led by the Spirit, Rom. 8.14-17; Gal. 5.16-18.

3. We are to be filled (controlled) by the Spirit, Eph. 5.18-20; Gal. 5.22-25.

4. Receive the gifts of the Spirit, 1 Cor. 12.4-7; 1 Pet. 4.11.

5. We should neither quench nor grieve (hinder) the Spirit, Eph. 4.30; 1 Thess. 5.19-22.
