4. Don’t be afraid to repeat the obvious . Always make sure that you “pile-drive” the thesis and central theme of the lesson at the end of your study, restating the thesis of the lesson, and reviewing its main points. 5. Suggest further exploration . Draw your students’ attention to the resources and bibliographies listed for those wanting to inquire more deeply into the subject, or to consult for further study. 6. Facilitate new ways of thinking about applying the material in their lives . Take time each lesson to reinforce the importance of planning and following through on their Ministry Projects. Spend time discussing possible directions for this as needed, and remind them of its importance in their overall learning and training program. Because the Ministry Project is the structured application project for the entire course, it will be helpful to set aside part of the Connection section to have students discuss what they might choose for their project and to evaluate progress and/or report to the class following completion of the assignment.
E. Three useful questions for evaluating the Connection section you have created are:
1. Have I anticipated in advance what the general areas of implication and application are likely to be for the teaching that is given in the lesson?
2. Have I created a way to bring student questions to the surface and give them priority?
