Appendix 31 At-a-Glance Responsibilities Checklist for Site Coordinators and Mentors
In order to organize and manage your Institute, you will have to give serious attention to the role of administration. The goal here is to steward your resources carefully, maintain excellence in pro- cedures and record keeping, and strive for an overall accuracy and quality in the way you run your courses and programs. This is a service to the Lord, done on behalf of the students, staff, and faculty. Give the proper time and planning to your responsibilities in order to ensure that your Institute glorifies God in this dimension as well as the training and teaching portions of your program. Listed below is the division of labor between the Site Coordinator and the Mentor. These are integral to each other and their strong inter- workings will be key to the success of your satellite and the equipping of leaders for the Church.
At-a-Glance Checklist for Site Coordinators and Mentors
I. Site Coordinator Responsibilities
A. In establishing your site:
1. Clarify and communicate your vision for your training center. 2. Organize and set up all records (see Multiplying Laborers guidebook for details). 3. Raise any necessary funds for your site. 4. Establish and maintain a library.
B. In recruiting and training your Mentors:
1. Send mentor application(s). The right mentor for your satellite will be committed to the church, culturally aware, and have a heart for the urban poor. 2. Order For the Next Generation: TUMI’s Mentor Manual and Mentor Guide (for the Capstone module that is being taught) for the Mentor 3. Give the mentor a copy of For the Next Generation: TUMI’s Mentor Manual and ask them to read it through in its entirety. 4.
