retrieve those grade reports over time actually begins with your conscientious work as Mentor. In order to help you do this, we have created a Microsoft Excel Grade Recording Sheet . (See Sample Grade Recording Sheet in the Appendix, and download the Excel Grade Recording Sheet from our website at www.tumi.org/mentor .) You can enter student names, and points for each of the above course requirements, as the course progresses. The column on the right will automatically calculate the points as you add the totals for each student. List each student’s points for every assignment they turn in on the Grade Recording Sheet created for this course. (See sample in the Appendix). Depending on the system you set up, you will receive the students’ assignments either throughout the course, or all at the end of the course together (as in the envelope method). Once the course is over, the assignments graded, and points totaled, you should use the TUMI Grade Scale (see this document in the Appendix) to determine the appropriate grade for each student. List that grade on the Grade Recording Sheet for each student and save your final edits on the Grade Recording Sheet . Submit Final Grades to Site Coordinator Always double-check your grade point calculations according to the Grade Scale, and when confident your records are correct, submit the final Grade Recording Sheet to your Site Coordinator along with the Course Attendance Sheet . The Site Coordinator will send out grades to the students and save the Grade Recording Sheet with their records for backup.
