been given to Jesus (Matt. 28.18). He is Christus Victor , the triumphant One over all the evil powers that have infiltrated this good earth (Gen. 1). Satan’s wrath and vile has been poured out though, “for the devil has come down to you in great wrath, because he knows that his time is short” (Rev. 12.12b). Yes, his time is short. Martin Luther stated it well in his great hymn, A Mighty Fortress Is Our God : And though this world, with devils filled, Should threaten to undo us,

We will not fear, for God has willed His truth to triumph through us. The prince of darkness grim,

We tremble not for him; His rage we can endure, For lo! his doom is sure; One little word shall fell him.

One word from the Lord Jesus will be the end of Satan and his works of evil and destruction. Until then, there are forces of evil that must be put down. We must move forward in missions for the billions of souls bound, helpless, and hopeless in the Kingdom of Darkness. Our confidence to move forward aggressively in missions comes in being confident of this one fact that, “The Lord is a man of war; the Lord is His name.”
