How to Ensure Your Institute’s Continued Success

1. Make certain that all of your records are accurate and archived (Appendices 17 and 18).

2. Maintain contact and excellent communication with your students. It is important that you seek to have a strong alumni association. This is significant, not only because it will be important to stay in contact with them as partners, but also since they themselves will become the best advertising of what your Institute has to offer. 3. Run a thorough evaluation of the various dimensions of your Institute. The graduation of your first class offers you a wonderful opportunity to evaluate the overall effectiveness of your Institute’s academic courses and ministry programs. Did your students grow in their knowledge and understanding of the Scriptures?Have their churches or pastors seen any notable change in their service to their congregation or ministries? Remember, the whole goal of a satellite should be to equip men and women to make a difference in the life of their churches in the city—mobilizing Christian workers and creating new ministries. As trainers of leaders among the urban poor, our business is not to have courses but to transform churches and create new ministries that win people for Christ! 4. Monitor the ongoing needs of your first graduating class. Conduct brief interviews with your students to assess their current desires and directions in ministry. You may find it helpful to facilitate their ongoing training toward a Ministerial Studies Diploma . You have the option of preparing and/or facilitating courses for your students in order that they may work toward a Ministerial Studies Diploma . (Please see Appendix 14 for details).

Your dedication will make a real difference in raising up a new generation of men and women who can serve Christ in cities around the world. Giving attention to certain critical elements will ensure that your Institute continues to prosper and produce quality solid Christian leaders. These seven elements will help you greatly in this effort.
