I. Set the Stage: Why do men try to run things themselves, even when they have already made a mess of everything?

The American Sickness of Being Exceptional But Not Deep

What does it take for a man to finally admit that he cannot live a full, satisfying, and meaningful life without the Lord? God respects the will of a man. Although he could make every man respond to him with faith and commitment, he chooses to allow each man to determine his own direction. A man is a special part of his creation given the right to say yes or no to the offer of God Almighty!
