C. The Key Implications

1. Jesus surrendered all that he had to the Lord in coming to the earth as God’s Suffering Servant, Phil. 2.5-6.

2. All who have been used have surrendered themselves to God without qualification.

a. Their time : Matt. 10.38-39 – And whoever does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. [39] Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.

b. Their talent : Rev. 3.15-17 – “‘I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot! [16] So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth. [17] For you say, I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing, not realizing that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked.
